KEN and Barbie killers Karla Homolka and Paul Bernardo reportedly left a creepy note in their victim’s coffin telling him they loved him.
The evil duo reportedly targeted Karla’s virgin sister Tammy twice in the early ’90s before their second attack proved fatal.
Tammy, 15, choked on her own vomit on Christmas Eve 1990 after the couple drugged and sexually assaulted her.
And in a twisted move, the Buffalo News reports how the couple left a note for the teenager telling her how much they loved her and their “deep sorrow and regret.”
‘PLEASE FORGIVE ME’
It is said that Paul’s note said, “My dearest little sister. Words cannot express the deep sadness and regret I feel now.
“You gave me your love and you trusted me like your big brother … If I ever caused you pain or pain, Tammy, please forgive me.
“I wanted only the best for you, just for you to be happy and experience the joys of this world. Please forgive me, Tammy.
“I will love you from now on to eternity, and I can’t wait to see you again after I’m dead. Love, your brother Paul XOXO.”
Karla reportedly added, “Dear Tammy, I have so much to tell you words cannot express. I have spoken to you every night and you know how I feel about everything.
“I won’t write everything I want to say, you already know that.
“I love you deeply and I will keep you in my heart forever. All my love, your big sister, Karla XOXO.”
The note reportedly continued: “I love and miss you with all my heart. I hope you are happy and loved in the hands of God. I love you so much little sister, and I can’t wait to see you again. . All my love, Kar. “
CONDEMNATIONS FOR MURDER
Bernardo was convicted of first degree murder in the deaths of two other teenage girls; Leslie Mahaffy, 14, and Kristen French, 15.
He then admitted to raping 14 other women and helping to kill his 15-year-old sister-in-law.
His wife had made a deal with the government to testify against Bernardo and plead guilty to manslaughter in the murders and served 12 years.
She testified that Bernardo strangled the girls with an electrical cord.
Mahaffy’s concrete-covered body parts were dumped in a lake near St. Catharines, Ontario.
French’s naked body was left in a wooded area near the lake 10 months later.
The couple had been dubbed the killers of Ken and Barbie because of their seemingly good looks and their status as wealthy.
Karla’s younger sister, Tammy, who was only fifteen, was one of their first targets.
After being drugged, the teenager passed out and Bernardo sexually assaulted her for a few minutes before she regained consciousness.
Tammy wouldn’t remember anything about the assault.
Then, just before Christmas that same year, Homolka brought home an anesthetic from the vet clinic where she worked, and the couple drugged Tammy again.
They allegedly fed Tammy’s eggnog with tranquilizers, according to the New Zealand Herald.
Bernardo then violently raped the teenager. Then, in what the couple insisted it was an accident, an unconscious Tammy began to choke on her own vomit.
The couple dressed Tammy, cleaned her up, and placed her in the bedroom before calling 911.
Homolka and Bernardo called an ambulance which took Tammy to the hospital where she died three hours later.
Tammy died just weeks before her 16th birthday. The death was ruled accidental and the couple were neither arrested nor charged.
Just a year after first drugging and assaulting Tammy, Bernardo and Homolka kidnapped and killed teenage Leslie Mahaffy.
In the wee hours of June 15, 1991, Bernardo discovered Leslie, then 14, outside her home, where she had been locked out.
In video footage, the couple captured Leslie’s torture, their taunts and struggle.
They allegedly kept Leslie in their house overnight, then killed her the next day.
Bernardo claimed that Homolka killed Leslie with a fatal anesthetic overdose; Homolka alleged that Bernardo strangled Leslie to death.
The couple left Leslie’s body in the basement while they hosted a family dinner.
Then they dismembered Leslie with a circular saw, wrapping each of the separate body parts in cement and throwing them into Gibson Lake, Ontario.
Weeks later, a cement brick full of remains was discovered by a father and son while on a fishing trip.
The fishermen saw cement blocks in the water. One weighed over 90 kg and police found a head and body.
Meanwhile, Bernardo and Homolka were preparing for their “fairytale” wedding in Niagara-on-the-Lake.
STAY FOUND ON THE WEDDING DAY
Leslie’s remains were reported to authorities on Homolka and Bernardo’s wedding day.
On their wedding day, Bernardo was dressed in a white tuxedo while Homolka wore a white dress and roses.
Then, in April 1992, they attracted teenager Kristen French, a student at Holy Cross High School in St. Catharines, Ont.
One day, on her way home from school, she was accosted by Homolka, who pretended to ask for directions.
As Homolka distracts Kristen, Bernardo surprises her, forcing the teenager into their car at the threat of a knife.
VICTIMS TOO MUCH
Kristen was abducted and tortured. The sick couple are said to have filmed themselves torturing the young girl, forcing her to drink alcohol and wear a schoolgirl outfit.
They killed Kristen before they left for Easter dinner.
Bernardo claimed that Homolka had beaten her severely with a rubber mallet, then strangled her with a noose.
Homolka alleged that Bernardo strangled Kristen to death with an electrical cord.
The couple dumped Kristen’s body in a ditch 45 minutes outside of her neighborhood, and she was discovered on April 30 – two weeks after her abduction.
DNA evidence uncovered on Kristen’s body linked her to several other rapes committed by Bernardo.
He then admitted to at least 10 other sexual assaults and has been linked to six attempted rapes. He has been nicknamed “The Scarborough Rapist”.
Homolka eventually told police that Bernardo had forced her to provide him with victims, but video footage the couple took also proved her guilty.
Police were able to sentence the two men to prison after examining six tapes of video evidence.
Bernardo was convicted in 1995 of first degree murder, kidnapping and aggravated sexual assault. He is serving a life sentence in Ontario.
FBI profiler Roy Hazelwood called Bernardo a “manipulative and chronic liar.”
He claimed that the killer “sees himself as the center of the universe”.
Homolka was convicted of manslaughter and served 12 years in prison.
After her release in 2005, she married Thierry Bordelais, the brother of her lawyer. Bordelais and Homolka, who has since changed their name, are said to have several children together.
Bernardo was the subject of a parole hearing in June of this year. A judge turned down his request after just an hour in the courtroom.
At a previous hearing in 2018, the serial killer claimed he had “cried” over his past actions.
He said: “What I did was so horrible. I hurt a lot of people. I cry all the time.
