Bruce Kay Davis, 73, of McElhattan, died Monday, March 28, 2022 at his home.
Born February 7, 1949 in Tyrone, Bruce was the son of the late Nevin Cryder and the late Thelma Ruth Wilson Davis.
He graduated from State College Area High School and later attended Penn State University majoring in math.
In June 1991, Bruce married his love, former Terri J. Shore, with whom he shared 30 years of marriage before his death.
Over the years, Bruce has held a variety of positions at Weis Markets, including Assistant Principal at a State College facility. Years later, he was employed as a tester and product inspector at Chemcut until his retirement.
Bruce lived his life as the “common” man but was his own rare person. He was resourceful, intelligent, gentle and fun-loving.
He enjoyed caving with his family, sailing his sunfish in Stone Valley, road biking through the Rothrock State Forest and fishing for trout in its creeks, watching Nittany Lions and Steelers football games and spending time with his group of friends Boalsburg and Weis. It was the simple things he loved and thrived in.
In addition to his wife, Terri Davis, of McElhattan, he is survived by his daughter, Melissa (Glen) Croft, of Coconut Creek, Fla.; one sister, Christine Tate, of Bellefonte; and his nieces, nephews and grandchildren.
Along with his parents, he was predeceased by one brother, Nevin Wilson Davis.
Services will be held at the convenience of his family.
His family would like to thank the team of caregivers at UPMC Family Hospice, Williamsport, who helped give Bruce a healthy start.
Memorial contributions in Bruce’s name may be made to either the Alzheimer’s Association or the American Lung Association, c/o Moriarty Funeral Home & Crematory, 112 E. Church St., Lock Haven, PA 17745.
