In 2000 I decided to start On The
Fly Guide Service, Inc. After years of working for other
outfitters and flyshops I decided to give it a shot on my own.
Well it's been great journey so far!! When I created WNC Trout
back in 1995 I had no idea that the site would be so well received and
visited. In 2000 WNC Trout logged over 6000 hits per month and
the requests for local guide information was nearly overwhelming.
Over the past 10 years or so my fishing interests have changed and molded to the area where I fish. Living in Marion NC I realized I was right in the middle of some great smallmouth bass fishing. With my bass fishing background this was a perfect fit! On The Fly Guide Service is owned and operated by Scott Cunningham. I'm lead guide and booking agent for the service. We have three other guides that work exclusively for us and several guide friends to call on for large corporate trips. The main guides are Scott, Chad Stevens, Jeremy McClellan with Paul Rose taking care of the Charlotte area lakes and helping with group trips. We are all experienced outdoorsmen with a passion for flyfishing and teaching others to flyfish. |

| We are all very
dedicated to the sport of flyfishing and conservation minded. We
practice "Leave No Trace" camping and try to have very minimal impact
on the local environment. We strictly practice Catch and Release,
mostly because IT WORKS!! Over the years we have caught some of
the same fish from the same spots year in and year out proving the
Catch and Release is a great practice. So come visit us in
