Mitchell County

Mitchell County is on the Tennessee - North Carolina border and is surrounded by Yancey, McDowell and Avery counties.  Spruce Pine and Bakersville are the two major towns within the county.   The Blue Ridge Parkway skirts the southern edge of the county.
