Henry Fork Creek (Lower South Mountains State Park line downstream to SR 1919 @ Ivy Creek)(3 miles)* Fairly tight and small fish.

Carroll Creek (Game Land Portion above SR 1405)(1 mile)* Small

Linville River (Game Land below Blue Ridge Parkway to Lake James and 1st. Bridge SR 1223 below Lake James Powerhouse to Muddy Creek) (1 mile (below Powerhouse) and through Gorge)* tailrace area has access for disabled anglers, lower section is mostly posted, further down you go the better the fishing.   BE CAREFUL when the siren sounds get out of the water, it will rise quickly!!!!  Tough access in gorge section, doesn't fish as good as it looks.

West Fork Pigeon River (triple arch bridge on Hwy NC 215 to Queen Creek, except Middle Prong)* mostly on public landsbut has small tracts of private land mixed in.  Mostly stocked with browns.

(Rocky) Broad River (one-half mile north of Bat Cave Rd. to Rutherford County line) (1 mile)* easy access, watch for posted land mixed in with public land.

Green River - upper (mouth of Bob's Creek to mouth of Rock Creek and Lake Summit dam to I-26 bridge)*mostly posted, public section has very little access.

Camp Creek (S.R. 1919 to Polk County line) (1 mile)* small and tight, headwaters in Henderson county and flowing into Polk County.

(Big) Hungry River (entire river) (12 miles)* mostly on posted land, 2 areas not posted are the upper section along Deep Gap Rd.  The other section is downstream, access via Adams Rd.  Upper section is small and tight but lower section is quite fishable.
