are CPR certified by the American Red Cross and
have spent countless hours hiking, fishing and camping in
these mountains. Our guides have a passion for
fishing On The Fly and enjoy
sharing this passion with visiting anglers. On all fishing trips we can provide top quality equipment for your use. On full day wade trips and float trips we also provide streamside picnic lunch, beverages and snacks. On overnight trips we provide all meals, all camping equipment except for sleeping bags. |

What we provide: All trips include transportation from Marion, NC to the fishing location and back. We provide quality fly fishing equipment on all trips unless you want to use your own. Plus, non-alcoholic beverages, snacks and a nice lunch is provided. On half day trips only beverages are provided! What to bring: This can vary so much from trip to trip that we ask you to discuss this with us when booking your trip. Also if you're bringing your own equipment please let us know at the time of booking. Here's a few things you should bring on all trips:
Fishing License Anglers age 16 and older are required to have a North Carolina fishing license. On hatchery supported state waters a trout stamp is also required. We suggest buying a Comprehensive fishing license, no trout stamp needed and saves you a few bucks. You can purchase a license before your trip by clicking here for a link to the NC Wildlife Resource Commission's web site, they sell licenses on-line! Or call Toll free: 1-(888)-2HUNTFISH and order by phone. For the TN float trips, A TN license is required and we can stop on the way to pick yours up. License fees are not included in our guide fee. Why choose On The Fly Guide Service? We will work especially hard to see that you enjoy your day fishing with us. And that you go home with the knowledge, skills and confidence to catch trout or smallmouth bass in WNC. We have nothing to hide and will share our "secrets" with you!! We are prepared to teach the beginner the very basics of fly fishing as well as to assist the accomplished angler in doing what it takes to catch more and bigger fish here in western NC and eastern TN. Our trips can be adjusted to your needs and desires. Most full day trips are 8 to 10 hours from time of pickup to time of drop off.
