Pm sent. Also, let me help you out with this unwritten rule of the forum. We don't publicly share stream names. Even if it's the most fished stream in the state, we try to keep a tight lip out of respect to other fisherman. The last thing you want to do is publicly announce the name of someone's favorite "go to" water.

Well I will second the comment.  It is a good idea not to mention streams by name, especially the wild ones.  Yes there are really no secret streams and there is another site that gives coordinates to many of the NC wildlife listed streams.  Your new and no one is going to blast you for it ............  unless you do it again   Grin   just kidding.

For the most part only the DH streams do get named and no one will care about that   Wink, these are NO secret at all.  So if you do go "somewhere" we won't mention for an overnight trip, we better be able to read a trip report   Grin Grin

By the way and nothing personal, I removed the stream name in case someone hasn't read this and may get upset.  I hope you don't mine.

Very confusing as to how to ask specific questions about streams of interest without mentioning their name.  But if someone has any suggestions of a stream that lends itself to hiking access from one point to another in an area of Game Lands or NF were it would be OK to overnight, I would like to hear about it.

I do understand that it would make me mad to put in the time of hiking/fishing wild water only to have someone fishing ahead of you  in your favorite "secret stream", But I use and love the unnamed site because I can figure out the Google maps much better than the ones on the NCWRC. The stream maps are great but I have to carry my county map atlas along to transcribe my location to a map with decent road numbers.

Sorry if I stepped on any ones toes.

No problem Darrell, Dail is just trying to keep all the water to himself!   Smiley  Lots of water for overnighters, get the NF maps (throw out those NCWRC maps) and hit the trail.

If you need helps on a specific stream feel free to PM me and I'll do my best to steer you straight.

Man between John and Scott I'm feeling guilty     Honestly thought I have only fished the stream once and do want to go back.  There are some who would get upset at listing stream names  and I like it when we get new folks on the forum, truly didn't want someone writing something really bad and then you don't come back to this site.

One suggestion is to ask about a general area and a lot of us will PM you with the information.  Agree with Scott get some good maps,  hit the trail, and/or PM Scott.  I really hope I didn't offend anyone especially you Darrell.  When not buried at work like I was this week, I'm on this site at least twice a day and have been blessed to fish with about 20 folks from this forum, via group trips or day trips.  Hopefully you can join one of the trips, they are a blast.
