Fishing near Murphy/Hiwassee Dam (Read 516 times)

gadawg On The Fly Newbie Posts: 1	Fishing near Murphy/Hiwassee Dam 02/27/06 at 4:54pm I'm having a group of guys to the murphy/hiwassee dam area on April 22, I'm looking for a guided trout trip. Someone told me that the Toccoa was the place to be and they advised there were a few guiding outfits there. Any suggestions closer to murhy or hiwassee dam. Or even a good public or pay stream. Thanks,

If you haven't already checked in with or heard from Scott Cunningham (guide and owner of this board), check in with him for suggestions. Also consider giving the folks at Unicoi Outfitters in Helen, GA a call. Their number is 706-878-3083. I think they may run some trips on the Nantahala which isn't far from Murphy. As Far as the Hiwassee River as it flows through Murphy, sorry, can't help much there.

Being located in Marion I very seldom get over that way. I'll look through my links and contacts to see if I can find anyone else in that area.
