Opening the new board

SmileyWell Scott, you have a nice site here. Congratulations. I know this has taken a lot of hard work. I suppose this is the first post on General Discussions, so I'll say "hello to everyone coming along behind me". I hope to be able to give so information about the Tennessee side of the Smokies and some great Tennessee Tailwater reports. Here are some teasers from the Smokies, yesterday, and from the South Holston River a couple of weeks ago.

It sure was cold when I caught this one.

Good afternoon Hugh!  Thanks for the 1st post on the new board.  I wasn't really ready to let the world know about this new forum just yet but I had forgotten that I added a link from the new wnctrout.com.  Oh well that cat is out of the bag now, hope to have some new members sign up and get the board active.

Looking forward to your input and insight!!  Oh yea some nice pics in your post.

Let me know if you see any problems, bugs or anything that I need to add to the forum.

Scott, love the new look and the forum. I had a day trip with you 2 years ago and last year with Chad, learned a lot from both trips, Thanks very much. I don't know if you remember me, my sister in Fla and wife both gave me half days that I combined into a full day, 2 years in a row. They didn't do that this year   Sad.  I guess I'll have to do it on my own this year. I'll contact you later to set something up  Smiley. Loved your tips on the trip report, it's refreshing for someone to freely give up that info, I've caught fish with you so I know it's good info.
Look forward to learning more!

Aaron,  I understand about time or lack of time to fish.  If you can get away some Sunday (not super bowl Sunday cause my Steelers made the big show) just let me know.  If I don't fish on Sunday, I'm usually at home tying flies.  Tied up some nasty looking frog poppers for smallie fishing last Sunday, but will be on the water this Sunday for sure.  Also if you can get away for an afternoon sometime just let me know a day or two ahead and I can usually slip out of work around 12.  Got some nice wild water within 10 minutes of downtown Marion, come on up!

I was up early this am and was fishing around and found this forum
Congrads. It looks good. hope I can add some insite on this FF thing that we are all hooked on.

There is no place I'd rather be on a Sunday am. than on a Blue line with the river running through it.

Well. looky here- a new forum to talk on.  Scott, got to get in the carp fishing business. Paul has no problems with it.  They sure are plenty of them. And nobody is going to eat them. so....
Good luck on your new adventure. As usual, you will do fine.

Hello, Scott and others. I'm new here -- it looks like a cool new forum. Since nobody here knows me, a brief bio -- I'm from the Blowing Rock N.C. area and have been flyfishing mostly for trout for 30 years here in the N.C. mountains (with some tailwaters in Tenn.). It'll be good to read some other peoples' experiences and knowledge.

Connor Check out my tips page wnctrout.com/tips.html  also I'm working on a new part of the forum for everyone to add their favorite tips.  Should be a great resource when up and running.  Plan to have it completed by the end of this week, well that is IF I don't go fishing!
