Caldwell County
Caldwell County is located between Alexander, Wilkes, Burke, Avery and Watuaga counties.  Lenoir and Hudson are two of the bigger towns in the county.

Stocked Waters

Wilson Creek (Phillips Branch to Brown Mountain Beech dam) (6.5 miles)* huge pools through gorge section, fairly easy access if you don't count a steep bank down to creek.

Thorps Creek (Falls to NC 90 bridge) (1 mile)* very small and flowing through Mortimer Campground

Buffalo Creek (Watauga County line to Long Ridge Branch)* small and tight.

Joes Creek (Watauga County line to first falls upstream of the end of SR 1574)* small and tight.
