Alleghany County


Alleghany County is located on the Virginia - North Carolina boarder, it is surrounded by Surry, Wilkes and Ashe counties.  Sparta is the largest town in the county.  The Blue Ridge Parkway passes through the southern and eastern sections of the county.   Portions of the New River and Stone Mountain State Parks are within the county.
